BOOKING PROCESS AND CONDITIONS
HOW DOES THE BOOKING PROCESS WORK?
Once we have discussed your needs and agreed on the type of booking/lesson you require, you will need to pay a deposit. This will allow the studio space to be booked for the date and time agreed. The remainder of the fee will need to be paid within 24 hours in advance of the lesson. Please note that the deposit payment is not refundable once the studio has been booked.
I’M UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
I am qualified to teach students of all ages and have CRB clearance. However if you are under 18 years old I will need to speak to your parent or guardian in advance of negotiations. Your parent or guardian will need to then provide written consent and is to be copied in on all further communication. Once any agreement has been made between the student and Milo Miles final approval will be required from your parent or guardian both verbally and in writing before any work commences.
CAN I BOOK MORE THAN ONE CLASS AND GET A DISCOUNT?
Yes. Discounted rates are available for four or more classes booked and paid for in advance. Cancellation terms apply, please see the point below.
MY CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE CHANGED. CAN I RESCHEDULE A CLASS?
You may reschedule a class up to 48 hours before the set class time. Any payments made in full may be transferred to a new date if you wish to reschedule. Please note that the deposit fee is not refundable and will need to be paid again if the class is being rescheduled. Please check our Terms and Conditions for details.
I LIVE OUTSIDE THE UK, CAN CLASSES BE BOOKED FORM ABROAD?
Yes. Booking conditions apply, please see above.
CAN CLASSES BE DELIVERED OUTSIDE LONDON/UK?
Yes. I teach across the UK and internationally.
CAN I BOOK A CLASS FOR ANOTHER PERSON?
Yes. Preliminary requirements can be discussed with the booker. However final agreement on class delivery and intensity will need to be agreed with the class recipient.
CAN I TAKE A CLASS WITH ANOTHER PERSON?
Yes. A private class may consist of up to four students and will be charged per session. Group rates apply for five or more students.
I HAVE AN INJURY / PHYSICAL DISABILITY/HEALTH CONDITION. CAN I STILL BOOK A CLASS?
We will need to discuss your circumstances in detail in advance of booking. You should always obtain confirmation from your physician/GP/therapist prior to discussing your requirement with me. GROUPS AND PARTIES
WE ARE PLANNING A WEDDING/PARTY AND ARE LOOKING FOR A COACH. CAN YOU HELP?
Yes. I teach wedding couples and party groups including stag parties and hen nights.
I’M/WE ARE AN AMATEUR/SCHOOL/PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL/GROUP AND NEED A PIECE CHOREOGRAPHED. CAN YOU HELP?
Yes. I choreograph productions for professional and amateur individuals/groups and also choreograph auditions, stage schools, festivals and competitions.
STYLE AND LEVEL
WHAT LEVEL DO I NEED TO BE AT TO BOOK A PRIVATE?
I teach students of all ages and capabilities from beginners to professional. Once we have determined your level and requirement we can tailor a class or series of classes to meet your needs.
WHAT STYLES CAN YOU CHOREOGRAPH IN?
I choreograph Classical Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Cabaret, Burlesque, Cruise Ship Productions, Magic Shows, Ballroom, Latin, Tap, Figure Skating and Pas De Deux (adagio) work. Please visit the Dance Classes section for further details.
CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN STUDIO SPACE?
Yes. In this case you will be responsible to book the studio space for the required date and time. The studio will need to be a professional training space, with appropriate flooring, equipment and insurance as required. The class fee will payable 7 days in advance of the class and is not refundable. Travel allowances may apply outside central London.
DO I NEED ANY PARTICULAR EQUIPMENT OR CLOTHING TO ATTEND A PRIVATE CLASS?
There is no specific equipment required for any of the classes I teach, providing the class is booked at a professional dance studio. You will however need suitable clothing and footwear for the class of your choice (e.g. Ballet, Jazz, Ballroom shoes). This should be discussed prior to your lesson.
DO YOU COACH PAS DE DEUX AND ADAGIO WORK (LIFTS)?
Yes. For all forms of dance, ice skaters, gymnasts and actors. Details will need to be discussed prior to the first session and on a case by case basis. Milo Miles accepts no liability for any physical injury, loss or damage to persons. Please check our Terms and Conditions for details.
DO I NEED TO BOOK TO ATTEND THE REGULAR CLASSES AT DANCEWORKS OR PINEAPPLE?
No. Classes at both Danceworks and Pineapple are open sessions so there is no need to book or register. You simply pay a daily membership when you arrive at each studio and then pay the class fee separately. Please follow the links for further details: Pineapple.
