The Red Ribbon Revue
Hollywood Cabaret
Raising Funds For World AIDS Day
On the 30th of November 2009 we held our third annual World AIDS Day event and mounted our first ‘real show’ a tribute to the old glamour of Hollywood and the 1930-40s. This was our biggest event yet and first official ‘Red Ribbon Revue’.
By counting down to midnight we were the first event on the 1st of December in the UK! Our Cabaret evening in the heart of Soho was at the world famous ‘Madame JoJo’s’. With songs and music from Gershwin, Berlin, Disney & Porter.
Hosted by Polly Fey & Sharon Marshall the cast of 8 presented three-25mins sets over the course of the evening in an all singing and dancing show, which featured some of London’s most talented performers. We raised over £3000, not bad for our 1st year as The Red Ribbon Revue. Proceeds were devolved to the Terrence Higgins Trust.
